Patagonman

Coach Robert, with Coach Rachel as support crew (along with his friend Scott and 2nd daughter Stacey) will be attempting the Patagonman Xtreme Triathlon is an ultra-distance triathlon held in the remote wilderness of Patagonia, Chile. Athletes begin with a 3.8 km swim in the icy waters of the Aysén Fjord, starting from a ferry before dawn. The race continues with a 180 km bike ride through rugged terrain, featuring strong winds, steep climbs, and stunning landscapes of mountains, rivers, and glaciers. The final leg is a 42.2 km marathon run along dirt trails and remote paths, ending in the small town of Villa Cerro Castillo at the base of dramatic peaks. Known for its extreme conditions and breathtaking scenery, Patagonman is considered one of the toughest and most beautiful triathlons in the world.
